PromptVault AI is a browser extension that helps you store, organize, and manage AI text prompts - including tags, folders, favorites, search, and JSON export. You can install it from the Chrome Web Store. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection, use, and protection when you use PromptVault AI or visit our website.

2. Single Purpose

PromptVault AI has a single, narrow purpose - easy storage, organization, and quick access to text prompts.

The extension does not bundle unrelated features. All functionality serves this one goal: helping you create, manage, and reuse your AI prompts efficiently.

3. Information We Collect

PromptVault AI does not collect any personal or sensitive user data through the browser extension.

3.1 Browser Extension Data

  • The extension does not collect, store on external servers, or transmit personal data, browsing history, website content, IP addresses, or user identifiers.
  • All prompt management runs locally in your browser. No tracking, analytics, or data collection is performed by the extension.
  • Your prompts, tags, folders, favorites, ratings, and settings are stored locally using chrome.storage.local.
  • Prompt content you create remains on your device unless you choose to export it (e.g. JSON export) or copy it yourself.
  • Settings persist after browser restart so you do not need to reconfigure them.
  • No data is transmitted to external servers.

3.2 Website Data

When visiting our website (outside of the extension), limited technical data such as IP address or browser type may be collected for basic website functionality. This data is not linked to the extension and is handled separately.

4. Extension Permissions

PromptVault AI requests only the permissions necessary to save prompts and provide quick access via the browser sidebar. No data is sent to external servers.

4.2 Side Panel

The sidePanel permission allows the extension to integrate with the browser's sidebar. This provides quick access to your prompts without having to open a separate window or navigate to another page.

5. Remote Code

PromptVault AI does not use remote code.

The extension does not fetch or execute JavaScript, logic, or configuration from remote servers. All extension code is packaged within the extension bundle. No "remote code" permission is used.

6. How We Use Your Information

PromptVault AI does not use personal data for analytics, advertising, tracking, profiling, or monetization. The extension operates entirely locally and does not transmit any data externally.

Local settings are used solely to manage and access your stored prompts. Website data (if visiting cusmize.com separately) is handled under site policies and is not linked to the extension.

7. Data Storage and Security

PromptVault AI stores all data locally on your device (e.g. prompts, tags, folders, favorites, and settings). This data never leaves your device. Information collected through our website is stored with industry-standard security measures.

Only industry-standard browser storage APIs are used by the extension.

No user data is stored on our servers. No cloud storage is used by the extension.

8. Data Usage Certifications

In accordance with Chrome Web Store requirements, we certify the following regarding user data:

  • We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, except as permitted in approved use cases (e.g., legal requirements).
  • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the operation or improvement of the extension's core functionality (storage, organization, and quick access to text prompts).
  • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

This extension complies with the Chrome Web Store Program Policies and Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies (detailed), including the User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements.

Our website may use cookies. See our Cookie Policy. The extension does not use cookies for tracking.

10. Third-Party Services

No third-party analytics or advertising services are integrated into the PromptVault AI browser extension.

When you install from the Chrome Web Store or other browser extension stores, those platforms may collect information according to their own privacy policies.

11. Data Sharing and Disclosure

PromptVault AI does not sell, share, rent, or disclose any user data. The extension does not transmit any data to third parties.

We may share information collected via our website only where required by law or to protect rights.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
