2. Single Purpose

Extension List Exporter has a single, narrow purpose - to export a list of your installed browser extensions.

The extension does not bundle unrelated features. All functionality serves this one goal: helping you review, back up, and document your installed extensions locally.

3. Information We Collect

Extension List Exporter does not collect any personal or sensitive user data through the browser extension.

3.1 Browser Extension Data

  • The extension does not collect browsing history, website content, full URLs, page titles, IP addresses, or user identifiers.
  • All export operations are performed locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers.
  • When you export, the extension reads metadata about your installed extensions (e.g. name, version, store URL, permissions, enabled status) only to generate the export file you request.
  • Only user preferences (e.g. export format and settings) are stored locally using chrome.storage.local.
  • Exported files are saved to your device by you. We do not receive, store, or access exported content.
  • The extension does not track activity or transmit information externally.

3.2 Website Data

When visiting our website (outside of the extension), limited technical data such as IP address or browser type may be collected for basic website functionality. This data is not linked to the extension and is handled separately.

4. Extension Permissions

Extension List Exporter requests only the permissions necessary to read your installed extensions list and save export settings locally. No data is sent to external servers.

4.1 Storage

This permission allows you to save user settings, such as your preferred export format (JSON, CSV, or HTML) and other customization options. Your settings are saved locally so you do not have to reconfigure them after restarting the browser.

4.2 Management

Allows the extension to read metadata about your installed extensions - including name, version, Chrome Web Store URL, permissions, and enabled or disabled status - solely to generate the export file you request. This data is processed locally and is never transmitted to external servers.

4.3 Downloads

Allows the extension to save the exported extension list file (JSON, CSV, or HTML) to your device when you choose to download it. The file is created and saved locally under your control.

5. Remote Code

Extension List Exporter does not use remote code.

The extension does not fetch or execute JavaScript, logic, or configuration from remote servers. All extension code is packaged within the extension bundle. No "remote code" permission is used.

6. How We Use Your Information

Extension List Exporter does not use personal data for analytics, advertising, tracking, profiling, or monetization. The extension operates entirely locally and does not transmit any data externally.

Local settings are used solely to generate extension list exports on your device. Website data (if visiting cusmize.com separately) is handled under site policies and is not linked to the extension.

7. Data Storage and Security

Extension List Exporter stores all data locally on your device (e.g. export format preferences and settings). This data never leaves your device. Information collected through our website is stored with industry-standard security measures.

Only industry-standard browser storage APIs are used by the extension.

No user data is stored on our servers. No cloud storage is used by the extension.

In accordance with Chrome Web Store requirements, we certify the following regarding user data:

  • We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, except as permitted in approved use cases (e.g., legal requirements).
  • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the operation or improvement of the extension's core functionality (exporting your installed extensions list).
  • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

10. Third-Party Services
