The Garden

This piece is heavily inspired by the artist's childhood experiences at their grandmother's house in the Brazilian countryside. It's about the feeling of bliss during the early childhood years, a time of curious exploration, and the memorable smells, sounds, and other wonders of that big backyard. Kanioko (he/they) is a Brazilian artist and illustrator. They are driven to tell stories for people who didn't grow up with the representation they felt they deserved. Their work is mostly character-focused, with humorous and quirky genderless personas, exploring themes such as queerness, identity, daily events, and nostalgia.
