Description

With Uniform Toolbox you can easily copy your Uniform projects (or just parts of them) and transfer them over to new projects. Q: How do I copy a project? A: 1. Navigate to the project you want to copy 2. Open the extension popup 3. Click on the "Copy current project" button 4. Open a destination project or create a new one 5. Re-open the extension popup 6. Configure the paste and click on the "Paste project" button Q: What can I do with this extension? A: - Uniform Toolbox allows you to copy a Uniform project (or parts of it) and transfer (paste) it to another Uniform project - If you are editing a composition, an entry, or a pattern, you can copy them and then paste them into another project - You can also copy single components, block types, and content types in the same way Q: Is copy-pasting safe? A: - Data loss can happen due to user error (pasting into the wrong project) or bugs in the extension. - Before pasting, we recommend making a backup of the project you are pasting into. The entire project backup can be made using the official Uniform CLI. Q: Is this extension secure? A: - The extension uses the existing user authentication to read and write projects the user already has access to. No additional data access is or can be provided through the extension. Data transfer happens in memory on the end-user device and between the user and the Uniform servers. No intermediary servers are involved, and the data is not logged or stored. - Error messages of errors that occur during pasting are stored locally on the end-user device for an easier debugging experience. Q: Do you collect any data? A: - We use a privacy-friendly, GDPR compliant analytics provider (plausible.io) to record paste events. The events are fully anonymized, and no identifiable user data is collected. No pasted data, nor accounts associated with the paste are collected or processed in any way, and never will be. - Example of a full event payload, indicating that a paste of 13 compositions was successful: { name: "paste", domain: "uniform-toolbox", url: "app://toolbox/pastes", props: { end_status: "done", compositions_count: 13, }, },
