Description

This extension replaces Chrome’s new tab page with one that attempts to be similar to the default, minus all the junk that Google keeps adding that makes the page worse. More specifically, the page includes bookmarks and shortcuts, but there’s no enormous Google logo, redundant search field, Google account header, network requests that spam the JavaScript console with warnings, or “Create theme with AI” promotions. Note: Chrome 138 displays an ugly footer across the bottom of the new tab page by default. You can hide it by right-clicking on it. See https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/g/chromium-extensions/c/DNj1B3vywr0. History: - 0.5: Handle separate synced and not-synced bookmark trees in Chrome 138. - 0.4: Improve keyboard navigation, particularly for menus. - 0.3: Increase padding on top of shortcut tiles. - 0.2: Fix submenus no longer opening in Chrome 125. - 0.1: Initial release.
