Description

This web clipping extension is vastly superior to the official one. How to Get Started? The initial setup might be a bit tedious. 1. You need to install an Obsidian plugin called [Local Rest API](https://github.com/coddingtonbear/obsidian-local-rest-api) and enter its API into this extension. If you want comments on highlighted content to display nicely, you’ll also need to install another Obsidian plugin called [Sidebar Highlights](https://github.com/trevware/obsidian-sidebar-highlights). 2. Once you’ve set these up, browser content can be saved to Obsidian any time. No more hesitation about closing tabs, no more copying and pasting, no worries about losing conversations with any AI, and no need to endure pop-ups or redirects from official plugins. 3. Keep your target Vault open while using this. The extension supports one-click configuration copying, which you can paste directly into another browser’s settings. 4. If you use Chrome, Edge, or even Arc simultaneously, you’ll appreciate this. The main reason it’s not yet available on Safari is the lack of a developer account. If it helps you, feel free to [support me](https://ko-fi.com/xiannian). Specific Features? The extension currently offers four core features: 1. Web Article Clipping: Save fully loaded pages to Obsidian with one click, ideal for those who prefer reading and digesting content in Obsidian. 2. AI Conversation Archiving: Centralize AI chat logs from multiple platforms into Obsidian, making it easy to continue conversations across models or review key points. - Supports mainstream AI platform chat history, perfectly adapting message formats, including code blocks, tables, etc. 3. Fragment Highlighting & Annotation: Select any sentence on a webpage to save it to Obsidian, add annotations, and automatically generate backlinks for easy reference. 4. Reading Mode: Enter reading mode in your browser, annotate while reading, and sync everything to Obsidian afterward. Future updates will prioritize stabilizing these features. If you have new ideas or requests, [feel free to reach out](https://github.com/Lefeaker/AllinOB/issues). AI Summaries During Transfer? This isn’t built-in yet, but future versions may explore better implementations. I don’t want to simply add LLM summaries and flood your vault with content you might not read. If you have better ideas for integrating AI with this extension, let’s discuss. My goal: After initial setup, make the experience as seamless and effortless as possible. Privacy? I only want to track usage frequency—nothing more: - Understanding usage helps gauge whether the extension truly adds value. - Differences in feature usage can also spark new ideas. As for who you are, when you use it, or what sites/content you access—all that stays locally and isn’t uploaded, and nothing travels through any cloud service before it reaches your local setup. Thank you, and [feel free to reach out anytime](https://github.com/Lefeaker/AllinOB/issues). Install now to keep your reading and thinking in a single Obsidian workflow.
