Abstracta

Abstracta is a great little game to pass some time. Collect gems and powerups, avoid the explosive mines, and defeat all four bosses in this cool vertically-scrolling game of goodness. As you play, new powerups will unlock, and often these can be combined for point bonuses and some very cool screen-effects that can change the gameplay in a number of ways. Some of the powerups are also fun little tributes to arcade game classics such as Tetris or Pacman. You can read about the powerups anytime by pausing the game (spacebar) and seeing the help screen. There are four different boss monsters in the game, appearing at different intervals, and each must be defeated in its own way. The last boss appears very late in the game and can be extremely hard to defeat, so that's a challenge for the truly dedicated players. If you like Abstracta, remember to check out our other games!
